Training for a Stronger Community
Available Trainings

QPR: Question, Persuade, Refer
A nationally recognized suicide prevention training that teaches you how to recognize warning signs, offer hope, and connect someone to help. Often called the “CPR of mental health,” QPR can be completed in about an hour.
- Best for: General public, schools, workplaces, families
- Length: 1–1.5 hours
- Format: In-person or virtual
ASIST: Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training
An intensive, two-day workshop for people who may find themselves supporting someone at risk of suicide. Participants learn how to recognize risk, intervene, and develop a safety plan in real time.
- Best for: General public, educators, employers, service providers
- Length: 6–8 hours, which may be split into two sessions
- Format: In-person or virtual
- Options: Youth and adult versions available
Mental Health First Aid
Learn how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges, including how to support someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations.
- Best for: Healthcare workers, school counselors, peer support specialists, crisis responders
- Length: 2 full days
- Format: In-person only
Naloxone Training
Learn how to recognize an opioid overdose and administer naloxone (Narcan), a lifesaving medication that reverses the effects of opioids. Training also includes information about local resources and harm reduction.
- Best for: Everyone, especially people in public-facing roles or affected communities
- Length: 30–45 minutes
- Format: In-person or virtual
- Also included: Free naloxone available at training locations
Community Conversations: Stigma & Substance Use
An interactive training exploring personal and societal stigma around mental health and addiction, including how stigma can create barriers to seeking care. The conversation is designed to build empathy, understanding, and positive change.
- Best for: Anyone who wants to reduce stigma and promote access to support
- Length: 1–1.5 hours
- Format: In-person or virtual
- Available for: Community, school, and workplace settings
